Room Service

The main question I have tonight is, why do hotels have Room Service? It seems like a service they reluctantly offer. While the food can be wonderful, like a wonderful pasta with white wine sauce, steak with french fries or a burger with all the trimmings, the prices and extra service charges and everything they add to it, it honestly makes most people think twice about ordering from the menu. Tonight I had a Chimmichurri seasoned steak with French fries and a wedge Salad. The wedge salad had a unique blue cheese type dressing and was topped with cherry tomatoes and feta cheese. The steak and fries were flavorful and filling. Add a nice chilled Pepsi and it was a good meal. Most of the menu was pricey but the amount of food was decent so I guess in the end it mostly evened out. Being able to relax and eat a meal in the quiet and comfort of privacy and with my own program line up on the TV with out having to sit there alone in a restaurants certainly has it's perks and maybe that makes the extra charges worthwhile, but for those on a budget, it is certainly only a once in a while treat. Till next time, enjoy!

Welcome

Most of us eat out quite alot. But where are the better places to eat? In the blogs that will follow this, I will be critiquing the many different places I have the joy and privilege to dine at. From Coast to coast there are many many places that one can eat. From fast food to more elegant, sit down restaurants, there is certainly a vast number of choices. Where are the better places to go? What's good on their menus? While I certainly can not have the whole menu in one sitting I am hoping to share the experiences of the restaurants. Weather it is the service or the food, what sets one place apart from another? I hope you will enjoy the experiences and find great places to go in different places as these post come up. Enjoy and Happy eating!
